There are no words that could ever express what our kids
mean to us. There is no other feeling the world , how they make us feel. Our
pride and love for them could be no greater. My heart was ripped from my chest
the day I lost my son, but through him and God's grace, I'm able to try and help
others. My son Scotty was only 13, but he had touched so many lives. He always
had a way to make people smile and light up a room. He has taught me to cherish
each moment and try to make a difference in any way I can! Scotty Shumaker
Memorial, is set up to help kids and families. It's a chance for families to bond
and enjoy life with their kids. The money that is made
will be given to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Our Son Scotty loved the outdoors. His passion was hunting with his dad and Uncle Jeremy. Baseball was his next favorite, he loved pitching. Scotty
was in cross country and track, played baseball and basketball. He would always
sing and dance with me. There are so many wonderful memories we all have. Scotty
would fish and hunt with his little brother Colt and ride around with his big sister
Leslie. As a honor to him, we try to always carry a smile. We know that's what
he would want. Also, his memorial helps us keep his love and passion
alive.
I hope this site inspires you to remember your loved ones and helps
heal your broken heart the way so many friends and family have helped us through
our heartache. The hurt will always be there, we'll have our good days and bad.
But let the love of your loved one shine out through you. Always keep their
spirit alive and never lose faith. |
